Program

Day 1: Overnight in Kampala.

After your regular tour ends, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kampala for a good night of sleep.

Day 2: Kampala - Village in Kamuli District.

To meet Uganda you have to meet the people. There are several cultural programs available in Uganda, but most of them are at touristic places where many people choose to go there as a second activity. We developed in cooperation with the Dairy farmers association in Kamuli a tour whereby you specifically take an active part in their community. We don't SEE a village, but we EXPERIENCE together their way of life! We camp in the garden of a farmer, we cook together the local food, we visit the school, we walk to the Gin (Waragi) maker, visit a local bar and we make a bike tour through the village. All guides are from the village itself and the whole community is benefitting from your visit. We guarantee you to have the warmest welcome in your life. It's just impossible to leave without a smile from ear to ear! We stay in kamuli from today in the afternoon until tomorrow after lunch

Day 3: morning in the village and Jinja

After lunch saying goodbye to your new friends in Namwendwa we drive to Jinja. Jinja is most famous because this is the place where Mr. Speke found the source of the Nile. From Lake Victora the Nile start here, passing many countries on its way to Egypt. The sceneries of both the Nile as lake Victoria are beautiful. Jinja is famous as well for doing many exiting and extreme activities. Today and tomorrow you can do rafting, wild water canoeing, horse back riding, bungee jumping, quad biking, mountain biking and much more. Of course you can just relax at the stunning lodge as well. Today and tomorrow you have the whole day to do what you want! The visit to the source of the Nile is included. Your lodge is situated directly on the Nile. From your privat cottage you have an excelent view. The swimmingpool is comfortable and the restaurant serves excelent alla-card menue's Optional excursions:

  • Visit local weavers (15 $ pp)
  • Rafting (125 $ pp for full day)
  • Wild water Canoe (80 $ for 3 hours)
  • Bungee jumping (65 $ pp)
  • Quad biking (50 $ for 2 hours)
  • Horse back riding (50 $ for 2 hours, maximum 90 kg pp)
  • Mountai biking (rental = 30$ for half a day)


Day 4: Jinja - To the airport

You have the whole day to enjoy Jinja Again! Make your choice from all options listed on day 15. Since your flight leaves late from Entebbe, we leave around 3 pm from Jinja to Entebbe. You can have dinner at one of the nice restaurants in town (not included) before your driver/ guide drops you at the airport.

Rates are excluding single supplements when number is oneven. Single supplement is 75 us dollar (including own tent)

Accommodation

Accommodation is based on standard twin rooms (shared) in Nile Porch and camping in Namwendwa (we provide tents and mattresses). We retain the right to substitute the accommodations shown above with suitable accommodations if there is no availability, and we retain the right to run aspects of the itinerary in a reverse direction if necessary.
